Animal Analogues: Verses and Illustrations (1908) - Robert Williams Wood My favorite: The Doe and The Dodo p -11-

The doe and her peculiar double
No longer are a source of trouble,
Because the Dodo, it appears,
Has been extinct for many years.
She was to proud to disembark
With total strangers in Noah's Ark,
And we rejoice because her pride
Our nature book has been simplified.

I enjoyed the drawings and little verses in the book. It's a good filler for breaks. I for my part can't possibly concentrate on my nonfiction book right now and thus the "Animal Analogues: Verses and Illustrations (1908) are a welcome distraction.
